Sunday December 2nd 2018 - Carolyn took her first ride on the monorail from the Grand Floridian to the Contemporary Hotel where we saw their Christmas decorations, had a drink at Outer Rim and watched the fireworks from the lobby balcony facing Magic Kingdom. I have always loved the Monorail ride that goes through the Contemporary. It reminds me of something out of Buck Rogers which I watched as a kid. I think it was probably built about the same time I was watching Buck Rogers. We toured the lobby, gift shops and the Christmas display located at the north end of the lobby behind the Fantasia lobby store. They had a glass showcase with Cinderella's glass slipper on display. Carolyn and Maureen passed on trying it on for size. The Outer Rim is located on the opposite end of the lobby, but we had time to kill before the Magic Kingdom fireworks show started so we stopped there for a drink.
